Daughter of Alexander Barret and Sarah Elmira Royster Shelton.
Sarah was baptized at the St.John's Episcopal Church.

Funeral from her parents home:the "Cottage"Alexander and Sarah were married by Rev.Stephen Taylor December 6,1828.Sarah eldest daughter of James H.Royster of Richmond.

Alexander died in his 37th year July 15,1844.

Son Alexander B.Shelton,Jr died at the age of 5,February 1,1848.
