Ruth Doris Danforth, 80, formerly of St. Regis Falls, died on Tuesday (10/11/2005) in Colorado Springs.

She was born in Stockholm, a daughter of Lloyd and Mildred Meacham Converse. She was a graduate of St. Regis Falls High School.

She married Eugene Danforth on Sept. 10, 1945. He died in April, 1970.

She was a licensed practical nurse at Alice Hyde Memorial Hospital, Malone, until her retirement in 1985.

She is survived by a son and his wife, Larry and Rhoda, Colorado Springs., Colo.; three grandchildren, Rebecca (Danforth) and Hans Watz, Colorado Springs., Colo.; Amanda (Danforth) and Scott Hanford, College Park, PA.; and David Danforth, Colorado Springs., Colo.; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda, and Richard Daby, Ft. Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Mary Converse, Hopkinton, and Kay Converse, Massena; many nieces and nephews, most of them living in northern N.Y.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Charles Robert on June 29, 2001; David on Dec. 21, 2003; and James on July 30, 2005; and a sister, Helen, in 1936.
