Potsdam, July 15th, 1907 On Wednesday morning occurred the death at his home on Elm St. of Horace J. Converse, known in Potsdam all his life, but only having moved here two weeks ago. Mr. Converse was born in Converse, Town of Stockholm, 54 years ago and spent his whole life there. For the past twenty-two years he carried on the Southville creamery. Mr. Converse married Louisa Trask of Hopkinton, and three children blessed their marriage; Mrs. L.R. Nye, Era Converse and Miss Iva Converse, all of whom together with his widow survive him. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the Universalist Church. Amber Lodge #395 of Parishville, assisted by Racket River Lodge #213 had charge of the funeral. Rev. E.R. Saunders of Fitchburg, Mass., a former pastor here, officiated. Interment was at Bayside Cemetery.
