He was the son of Herbert & Eliza Janey Hogan J0hnson.Ray lived most of his life in the Ava community.On May 21,1994 he married Ora Jenkins Stamper.She was his soul mate.Ray worked at the Owens & Gaulding All Night Station & later from Swift Meat Packing Co. in Ill.He was a member of the Walnut Grove General Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his parents,a sister Ressie nelson & his wife Ora.He is survived by one son;Danny;three grandchildren;
two brothers:Rex & Raymond:one sister Roxie.Many nieces & nephews & a host of other relatives & Friends.Funeral services were held Saturday,Sept.11,at 10 a.m.,at the Clinkingbeard Funeral,Ava,with burial in the Mt.Tabor cemetery.Visitation was Friday,Sept.10,from 6-7 p.m.at the funeral home.Officiating were the Revs.Robert Roberts ^ Tom Johnson.Memorials may be made to the Walnut Grove General Baptist Church.
