FANCY GAP, Va. - Violet L. Amidon, 88, died Oct. 12, 2010, at her home, after a long illness.
She was born in Rutland, Vt., Aug. 26, 1922, the daughter of Marie T. and Walter Amidon.
Survivors include a brother, Frederick Amidon of Springfield, Vt., and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Walter.
The memorial service will be held at a later date and burial will be in the memorial garden at Trinity Episcopal Church, where she was a member.
