SHREVEPORT, LA -- Graveside services for Mrs. Ladymon will be held on 11 a.m., Saturday, February 12, 2000, at Winnfield City Cemetery in Winnfield, Louisiana. Officiating will be her nephew, Judge Douglas Allen. Visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Friday, February 11 at Osborn Funeral Home on South Avenue.

Mrs. Ladymon was born on January 31, 1919 in Memphis, Tennessee and died on February 7, 2000 at Live Oak Retirement Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. She attended Southwestern (now Rhodes College) in Memphis. During WWII, Mrs. Ladymon was a member of the American Red Cross assigned to Patton's Second U.S. Army Corps in North Africa, then the Seventh Army in Sicily and finally going to Italy with the original invasion forces.

Mrs. Ladymon was preceded in death by her husband, Lyndon B. Allen and Ray C. Ladymon. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Allen Stevens and husband, Jim, and Peggy Allen Holladay and husband, Bob, all of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Scott Stevens of New York City, Kasey Stevens of Washington, D.C., Tyler Stevens of Shreveport, Cammie Holladay of Portland, Oregon and Robin Holladay who is a student at Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN; her stepson, Horace Ladymon and wife, JoJane and their daughters and families; and one sister, Erlene Rogers of Memphis, TN.

The families would like to thank Vassie, Mary and all the staff at Live Oak. Most especially, the family gives their thanks and love to Clara Prince who cared so lovingly for Mrs. Ladymon for the past seven years.
