James E. "Slim" Abbott died Thursday, Aug. 21, 1986, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 54, a native of Marion County, Ala., and resident of Baker.
Survived by wife, Mrs. Patsy Joy Abbott, Baker; mother, Cora Lee Abbott, Alabama; a daughter, Cynthia Renee Muse, Baton Rouge; a son, Joey Keith Abbott, Baker; five sisters, Bertha Chandler and Maxine Stone, both of Hamilton, Ala., Irene Stone, Southaven, Miss., Ora Lee Johnson, Byhalia, Miss., and Myrt Long, Olive Branch, Miss.; three brothers, Virgie Abbott, Memphis, Tenn., David Abbott, Red Bay, Ala., and Athel Abbott, Hamilton; four granddaughters.
Preceded in death by father, Claiborn Abbott; and a sister, Lela Mae Abbott.
He was a member of Denham Springs Church of God.
