Hilma J. Soper, 95, a former resident of Bagley, died Saturday, September 18, 1993, at the Fosston Nursing Home.
Hilma was born February 15, 1898, at St. Paul, to August and Anna Widmark. She lived in St. Paul until she was three when she moved with her family to Clearwater County to take up a homestead in Minerva Township. She was educated at the Minerva School. She married Henry Soper on June 9, 1920. They lived and farmed in Nora Township all their lives. Hilma entered the Fosston Nursing Home in August of 1989.
Survivors include a daughter, Bernice Erickson, of Minneapolis; one son, Wendell Soper, of Fosston; four granddaughters; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, seven brothers and two sisters.
Her funeral was Monday, September 20, at the Cease Family Funeral Home, Bagley. Interment was at the Bagley City Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Cease Family Funeral Home, Bagley.
