Two Detroit families needs your help in their search for justice. Their loved ones were murdered, and the killer is still on the streets.
"Because life is already too short, and we only have one life to live," said Dion Lacey, Jamail Sanders' uncle. "For someone to cut it short at 20 and 21 is just unbelievable."
It was a sickening start to the New Year on Detroit's west side. January 7 just after eight o'clock at night, a couple of cousins were sitting in a car. Someone opened fire and shot and killed them both.
21-year-old Hassan Desaussure and 20-year-old Jamail Sanders were parked, talking in Sanders' 2001 Ford Taurus on Brace Street near the Southfield Freeway and Warren.
At least one gunman in a red Dodge Stratus pulled up and executed the two young men.
Right now, investigators and both families are stumped as to why someone would do this.
"I love my son. He was full of life," said Dawn Jackson, Hassan Desaussure's mother.
"There will be a judgment day. My belief in God lets me know there will be a judgment day," said Curtis Martin, Hassan Desaussure's father.
"We need some kind of closure. Jamail did not deserve to be murdered the way he was," said Billie Andrews, Jamail Sanders' mother.
