Obituary of Sarah Ann Stevens McEwen:

Sarah Ann Stevens was born at Laharp, Illinois, July 14th 1838 and passed away July 3rd 1931, at the age of 93, 11 months, and 10 days.

She crossed the plains with her parents from Illinois to Utah, where she met her husband Matthew McEwen. To this union 13 children were born. 8 children passed away before her, and also her husband. 3 sons and 2 daughters survive her, including 128 grand-children, great grand children, and great-great-grand children!

Her entire life was given to the service of others, without complaint and without hope of reward.
