William H. Wagner

HANOVER – William H. Wagner, 81, husband of Mrs. Irene (Laughman) Wagner, 123 E. Middle St., died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Golden Age Nursing Home, 267 Frederick St. His first wife, Mrs. Tursie (Bixler) Wagner, died March 8, 1936.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, York St.; Hanover Aerie 1406, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Hanover Home Association.
Also surviving are seven children, Raymond Wagner, Hanover RD; Christian Wagner, North Franklin Street; Robert Wagner, Manchester, Md.; Mrs. Ruth Palmer, East Walnut Street; Mrs. Velma Herman, York; Claude Wagner, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Jean M. Westcott, Alexandria, Va.; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and nine brothers and sisters, Daniel Wagner, Hanover Street; Mrs. Carrie Crowl, Rheems; Mrs. Cora Baker, Locust Street; Mrs. Lovie Walters, Enola; Walter Wagner, Carlisle Street; Mrs. Roxie Sager, Abbottstown; Floyd Wagner, Northview Drive; Mrs. Florence Mummert, Broadway, and Mrs. Mary Stauffer, East Walnut Street.
The Rev. Elwood Culp, his pastor, and the Rev. William H. Stotler, associate pastor, will officiate at funeral services at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
