R. LYLE MORRIS, 52, of 1221 S. Delaware Pl., Sapulpa, Oklahoma, cost accountant at the U. S. Corps of Engineers office, died of a heart ailment in a Sapulpa hospital last Thursday, after a two week ailment.
Mr. Morris had worked for oil companies before going to the Engineers about 15 years ago.
Born in Indiana, Pa. he moved to Sapulpa in 1916 and graduated from Sapulpa High in 1922. He attended Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee, and the Oklahoma School of Accountancy.
Mr. Morris was a member of the College Hill Presbyterian Church and Military Engineers organization.
Surviving are his wife, Virgil Joyce, a daughter, Joyce Kay Morris, 9; two brothers, Paul Morris, 4819 E. 26th St., and Don Morris, Sapulpa, and two sisters, Helen Morris, Sapulpa, and Mrs. Dorothy Jean Cline, Havelock N. C.
Services were held at 9 p.m., Saturday, February 5 in Stanleys Service Room. Burial was made in South Heights Cemetery, Sapulpa.
Lyle Morris was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Guy Morris, former residents of Sapulpa.
