Hiram was the son of Solomon Jr & Elizabeth [White] Bobo, of Union County SC. They were buried at the Padgett's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Cross Keys Union Co SC.

He married 1st Amanda E Layton, on Apr 4, 1867, in Union County SC.
They had one known child, Bertha Fields Bobo b.1872.

Hiram married 2nd to Margaret [?] Parker, about 1898 in Georgia. Both had prior marriages. No children were born to this marriage, she had 2 children from her prior marriage: Waltin Parker and Albert Parker.

He served in the Civil War, Co D, 7th GA Inf Regt., they fought in all of the major battles.

Hiram disappeared from Union County, and cannot be found in the 1860 census, I surmise, because he left for Cobb Co GA, for a time, and served in the Civil War from that county.

1870 Hiram returnes to his roots, in Union Co SC, and marry's Amanda Layton, and by 1880, moved to Bartow Co GA, their next door neighbor is John Layton, probable brother of Amanda, Hiram remains in this county, for rest of his life. He and Amanda had 1 daughter, Bertha Fields Bobo, in 1872, by 1900, the next census, Bertha is gone, Amanda has passed away, and Hiram remarried to Margaret, 1900 census says they were married 2 years, with them are 2 children, from her prior marriage, Waltin and Albert Parker. Hiram died in 1905, the fate of Margaret, beyond this time, is not known. Neither Amanda nor Margaret are listed in the Cassville Cemetery.

Hiram was a PVT in Co D 7th Georgia Regt. This unit fought in the major battles of the civil war, Hiram enlisted in 1861, below a brief biography of his late experiences:

Inscription

2nd wife was Margaret Catherine Bryson Parker born 1854 Jackson Co., NC - died possibly 1938 Towns, GA. I don't locate her after the 1910 Census. Either last name is incorrect as Bilby or she remarried after Hiram died. She is living with her son Walter Parker.
