In 1891 he returned to Huntington, Arkansas to marry Lizzie Roberts. They then made their home in Coalgate, Oklahoma where they raised three children Max, Catharina and Willie.
Henry had a varied career working in Mining and on the Railroad as a Check Weighman in the Coalgate area at No. 4 and No. 5 (Choctaw). He and Lizzie operated two restaurants, one in Henryetta and the other at Fittstown. He could speak German and could also read and write in English.
After passing away at 6am at a hospital in Sherman, Texas services were held on April 22nd at the family home on Ada Street. Rev. Sayre officated and music was played by several ladies from town. There were lots of friends and family present.
