She was raised in the Los Angeles and Hollywood areas.
She worked for 25 years as a secretary for the U. S. Post Office in Los Angeles.
In Los Angeles, she belonged to the Native Daughters of the Golden West.
She and her husband moved to Nevada City
in 1960.
In Nevada City, Mrs. Lupien worked as a secretary for Alpha Hardware; and for Curnow Halls Insurance Agency.
She formed the Pink Ladies group at Nevada County Hospital and when that facility closed, she moved the organization to Golden Empire Convalescent Hospital, remaining active in the volunteer group until 1980.
She belonged to St. Canice Catholic Church for the past 23 years. She was a member of the Altar Society; and the Nevada City Garden Club.
