1/14/1971 Watson Henry Shumaker, 80, route 1, died at 3:30 am, Wednesday, at the Mount Vernon hospital, Mount Vernon. He is survived by his wife of the home, Mrs. Lettie Shumaker.
Mr. Shumaker was born February 2, 1890, in Vernon County, the son of Marshall and Carrie Bobbett Shumaker. He married Lettie Hunter May 28, 1910.
He is also survived by three son, Frank of Carthage, Henry of Forest Grove, Ore., and Harold of Nevada; four daughters, Mrs. Faye Hester of Westminister, Calif., Mrs. Mildred White of Baldwin Park, Calif., and Mrs. Wilma Moore and Mrs. Carrie Loomer, both of Nevada; 25 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Ferry chapel with the Rev. O.V. Dodson officiating. Burial will be in Newton Burial Park.
