Samuel F. Voigt
(October 23, 1919 - May 10, 2011)

Samuel F. Voigt of LaSalle passed away Tuesday May 10, 2011 in his home. Born October 23, 1919, in Minco, Oklahoma, he was the son of Albert and Mary(Boevers) Voigt. He married Helen Sagan on April 19, 1947 in Monroe. Sam served in the United States Air Force and was a self employed mason contractor, retiring in 1980 He enjoyed reading , gardening and playing golf. He was also a member of VFW-1138 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Theodore and one daughter, Christina, two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Helen, one son, Samuel (Jennifer) Voigt, Jr.,of Lake Orion, Michigan, two daughters, Marcia Greening and Kati (Jerry) Cobb of Monroe, also ten grandchildren, Kolee, Kara, Ben,Jason, Becca, Krissy, Samuel lll, Teddy, Nick and Stacy, twelve great grandchildren Samantha, Grace, Cole, Jacob, Avery,Benjamin, Trentton, Steven, Nolan, Samatha, Ashlynn, and Corbyn. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Bennett Funeral Service , 14567 S. Dixie Hwy and on Thursday, May 12 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with interment to follow at St. Josephs Cemetery in Ida, Michigan.
