Dwight O. Winsor
~Dwight O. Winsor, who had been in failing health for several years and seriously ill for the past month, passed away this morning at 8:00 o'clock.
~The son of the last Judge and Mrs. Herbert E. Winsor, he was born in Marshall July 25, 1881 and graduated from Marshall high school in 1899. He attended Amherst college from which he graduated in 1903.
~Mr. Winsor was united in marriage to Miss Gwendolyn Robinson of Chicago, June 30, 1909. He served as Y.M.C.A. secretary with the American Expeditionary Forces and with the Army of Occupation in Luxembourg for ten months.
~Until his retirement in 1938 on account of ill health he was with Sherwin, Williams Co. in Chicago, and came here to live in that year. he partially recovered his health for a time but became worse early this year and had been in declining health ever since.
~Mr. Winsor is survived by his wife; by three children, John D. of Little Rock, Ark., Herbert C. of Cleveland, and Helen Mary of Detroit; by two sisters, Mrs. Stowell Stebbins and Miss Maude Winsor of this city, and by four grandchildren.
~He was a member of the Chi Psi college fraternity.
~The funeral will occur Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Kelser Funeral home, the Rev. H.M. Laws of Trinity Episcopal church assisted by Rev. Harry W. Staver of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment will be in Oakridge cemetery.
