Mrs Nora Bitner passed Away Tuesday
Mrs Nora Bitner, aged 85, passed away at 9:20 pm Tuesday in a local hospital.
The funeral will be Friday afternoon at 2:00 at Cedar Grove Methodist Church with Interment in the church cemetery. Rev Oral Lingerfelt will officiate.
Active pall bearers will be Hugh Bitner, Jack Bitner, Ted Bitner, Daryl Bitner, Ray Lamb, and John Sutherland.
Honorary pall bearers will be Robert Morelock, Claude Waddell, Glen Broyles, Ralph Johnson, Hurt Wilhoit, and Frank Lee Shaw.
Flower bearers will be friends and neighbors.
She is survived by five granddaughters, Mrs Haskell Corby of Chuckey, Mrs Osa Corby Jr of Georgia, Mrs Herbert Gray of Afton, Mrs Gordon Miller of Greeneville, and Mrs Gloria Ann Tipton of Flag Pond; 8 great grandchildren. Her husband and two children preceded her in death.
The body will remain at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home until time for the service
