Russell J. Frasier, 94, of Port Huron died Wednesday, November 1, 2006 in Evangelical Home following a short illness. He was born July 13, 1912 in Port Huron and was a life long area resident. Russ married Louise Fiedler. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2001. He was employed by Port Huron Paper Company for forty five years and was founder and chairman of their retiree's club. Russ was an active member of the American Red Cross. He enjoyed bowling, playing pool, traveling and writing short stories. Russ is survived by several nieces and nephews. Special friend, Edna Bowman of Port Huron and many other dear friends. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Pastor Leo Thoms of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Sanilac will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. today and 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Funeral Home. Memorials in memory of Russ, may be given to St. Joseph Church, American Red Cross or The Charity of The Donor's Choice.
