"Ramona N. Jacobson, 75, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids,following a long illness. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday, St. John's Lutheran Church,Center Point, by the Rev. David Hansen. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Murdoch Funeral Home, Center Point, and one hour before the service Saturday at the church. Burial: Walker Cemetery, at a later date.
Survivors include her children, Mark (Susan) Jacobson of Benton, Tenn., Lori Jacobson of Toddville, Wade (Irene) Jacobson of Wichita, Kan., and Tim Jacobson of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Sean (Jennifer) Jacobson, Kyle (Amber) Jacobson and Melody Jacobson; and a great-grandson, Luke. Also surviving are her Aunt Flora and Uncle Randall Williams of Waverly; a special friend, Vernon Jons of Walker; a brother, Verne Willert of Charles City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo; a brother, Dale Willert; and two sisters, Norma Frisbie and Lola Reetz.
Ramona was born May 24, 1931, in Floyd County, the daughter of Alfred and Maryetta (Lohr)Willert. On Aug. 15, 1948, she married Leo Jacobson in Charles City. He died June 6, 1987. A longtime Toddville resident, she was a homemaker and substitute cook at the Alburnett and
Toddville schools.
Ramona loved her God, family, friends and all her dogs, especially Boo Boo and
"fuzzy" kitties. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking.
A memorial fund has been established in Ramona's memory."
