"Beverly Jo Anderson, 63, of 1365 Country Club Drive, Marion, passed away at her home Monday, March 21, 1994, following a long illness. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, Murdoch Funeral Home, Marion, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. The Reverend James Warren will officiate. The casket will be closed at all times. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Carl; two daughters, Mary Lynn Rathje and husband Bob of Marion and Linda Thompson and husband, Chris of Cedar Rapids; her mother, Doris Cartwright of Marion; and four grandchildren, Jon and Amy Rathje of Marion and Laura and Emily Thompson of Cedar Rapids.
Born the daughter of Joseph and Doris Frizzell Cartwright on May 14, 1930, in Osceola, Iowa, she married Carl Anderson there on June 8, 1952. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and her association with the staff and students at Bowman Woods Elementary.
A longtime Marion resident, she was a member of Marion Christian Church. She will be greatly missed by her family, relatives and many friends and neighbors.
A memorial fund has been established to be shared between St. Luke's Hospice and American Cancer Society."
