Funeral services for Eddie "Sonny" Haygood will be held Friday, July 1, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana. Officiating will be the Rev. Jim Crain. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from noon until service time Friday.
Sonny was born Febuary 21, 1932 in Liberty, Mississippi and entered into rest June 29, 2011 in Minden, Louisiana.
He is survived by his wife Margie Haygood of Minden: son Bryan W. Haygood and wife Robin of Norton, Massachusetts; daughters,Sheila Carroll of Central, Melanie Dittrich and husband, Don of Longview, Texas and Jacelyn Covington of Fairport, New York; step-sons, Leslie Kirkland and wife Kathy of Minden, Dale Kirkland and wife, Terrye of Minden, David Kirkland and wife, Shelly of Minden; brother, Vernon Haygood and wife Frances of Liberty, Mississippi; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
