SARTIN, Beatrice L., 80, of Blacksburg, died Monday, August 19, 2002, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born in Greenville, Tenn. on December 9, 1921, to the late Charley and Leota Franklin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Lee Sartin, two sons, Peter Fulton Sartin and Hunter Preston Ricker, and a stepson, Virgil Eugene Sartin. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Julia S. and Kyle Creed Sites of Blacksburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Leroy and Lynn Sartin of Radford; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Plyman Lee and Mary Kathryn Sartin of Christiansburg; a daughter-in-law, Erma Ricker of Powhatan, Va.; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 22, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewey O. Weaver, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
