Note: The following is from Diana.

My birth took place 6 months after Mom & Dad moved to CA. Their plans were to move back to Chanute (or at least mom was) after Dad entered WWII, but he went to work for Douglas Aircraft. he became active in the war effort at home by building airplanes. I grew up in Inglewood.

I Married John Arnold Hancock on 26 October 1968 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hawthorne.

We lived in Long Beach 1971-1975 where our children, Gary & Jill were born. We then transferred to Northern, CA in 1975. The year 1981 brought John and Diana another move,
only this time to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. John was on loan to ARAMCO, as a Project Engineer. I worked as a supervisor of Executive Gardening in Dhahran. I designed landscapes and assumed responsibility for 80 men who maintained landscapes for the executives of ARAMCO. We returned to our original house in Danville, CA for the years of 1984-1990. John is an engineer for Chevron Oil Company. In 1987 he started working a 28/28; 28 days in Cabinda, Africa and then 28 days at home without reporting to work.

This 28/28 gave me the extra time to begin my book writing. I first did a Rensing book. 1990-1994 found us back in Arabia (and the fun of the Gulf War), which gave me free time for putting together a Seidl book, a Friederich book and a Moll book. Arabia gave me the opportunity to travel to Urofflen, Baden, Germany (home of the Molls), Hombourg Haute, Alsace-Lorraine, (home of the Frederichs), and the town of Rensing, Germany (which I believe is the origin of the surname Rensing).
