Daniel P. Overhulser, of 1349 E. Donald St., died Tuesday at Burbridge Nursing Home, after an illness of one year. He was born in Glase County, Ohio, January 1, 1871, and came to South Bend 35 years ago from Rockford, Ohio. In 1892, in Decatur, Indiana he married Leona Bell Counterman. Mr. Overhulser was a retired employee of the South Bend Watch Co.
Surviving are three sons Glen, of South Bend, William of Elkhart, and Louis, of Osceola; three daughters, Mrs. Dollie Hooks, of Osceola, Mrs. Marcella Wining, of Scherrville, Ind., and Mrs. Ada Fairchild, of Nappanee; and a sister, Mrs. Clara Ford, of Greenville, Ohio; and 21 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Orvis Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. O. G. Hahn, pastor of First Church of the Nazarene, Mishawaka, will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Paul and Daniel Overhulser, William J. Overhulser, Jr., James Williamson and Harold and Robert Fairchild.
