Lyons, GA -- Mrs. Mary Eason Moore, age 90 of Lyons, died Thursday, September 22, 2011 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was a native of Tattnall County but lived in Lyons most of her life. She was the secretary and bookkeeper for Jack's Milling Company and Moore's Well Drilling Company that she and husband owned. She was a member of the Lyons Presbyterian Church, and was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Jack Moore in 2007.

Mary devoted her entire life to the care and nurturing of her family. She gave all her time to helping her husband, raising her children and grandchildren, and helping friends and family who were in need. She never asked for or desired anything for herself. She was known by all to be modest and humble, kind to everyone she met, and completely unselfish.

Mrs. Moore is survived by five children, Carolyn Blocker and husband Gary of the Kibbee Community, Barbara Findley and husband William of Cordele, Joyce Wilkes and husband Jim of Marietta, Donald Moore and wife Vicki of Oak Park, and Terri Moore of Hephzibah; one sister, Kate Emerson of Vidalia; twelve grandchildren, Jackie Rowe, Angie McKie, Misty Findley Bennett, Tara Findley, Michael Findley, Kristi Wilkes, Hope Wilkes, Jack Moore, Marylou Moore, Drew Loudenberg, Kelly Loudenberg, and Amber Temmermand; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 25th at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Vansant officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
