Beverly Bistline, 81, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Plaza West Regional Health Center in Topeka. She was born October 12, 1929 in rural Atchison Co., KS, the daughter of Roscoe and Eulalie Hawk Beyer. She graduated from Holton High School.
She had resided in Topeka since 1962. Beverly was employed by Shawnee County and USD 501 School District as well as held various other positions locally. She was a member of Countryside United Methodist Church and Loyal Chapter No. 176, OES.
Beverly married George P. Bistline on March 23, 1951 in Holton, KS. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1999. Survivors include one son, Greg P. Bistline of Hayward, CA, one brother, M.S. Beyer of Oklahoma City, OK, and one sister, Dorothy Vanderwall of Atchison, KS.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Countryside United Methodist Church Chapel. Burial will follow in Holton Cemetery. Beverly will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the George and Beverly Bistline Scholarship Endowment Fund at Countryside United Methodist Church, 3221 SW Burlingame Rd., Topeka, KS 66611.
