Kenneth R. Solene, 65, of Belfair, died May 16, 2002, at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 23, 1936, in Bellingham to Albert and Evelyn (Compton) Solene.

He is survived by his wife Linda.

He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1954 and attended the University of Washington. He served in Germany in the US Army. He retired in 1993 after working as a general manager with General Electric and a planner estimator at PSNS.

He enjoyed carpentry and outdoor activities and was a member of Belfair Assembly of God.

He is survived by his wife Linda; sons Eric Solene of Fall City, Wash., Carl Solene of Whidbey Island, Shane Solene of Belfair and Stephen Solene of Portland, Ore.; daughters Branda Lynn Reidt of Port Orchard, Karldra Lynn Solene of Belfair; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Belfair Assembly of God, Thursday, May 23, 2002. Inurnment at Twin Firs Cemetery in Belfair.
