Long time Douglas resident James B. Haxton passed away in San Antonio, Texas on January 14, 2010 at the age of 88. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Helen Haxton, and son-in-law Thomas Walker. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Haxton, daughters Linda Marshall (Robert), Janice Zimmerman (Gene), Elizabeth Walker, Helen Haxton Stephenson (Don), Priscilla Gunther (Doug), son James G. Haxton (Maria), thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Douglas. The date and time will be announced at JamesHaxton.gvn.com. In lieu of flowers please send donations to your favorite charity or New Tribes Missions Aviation, 3870 W. Davis Road, McNeal, AZ 85617.
