Wynona LaMoyne VanSickle, age 74, of Princeton, Kansas, died Thursday, October 20, 2011, at Ottawa Retirement Village in Ottawa, Kansas. She was born on Monday, July 26, 1937, in Logan, Iowa, the daughter of Merle W. and Kathryn V. (Walters) Heckman.

Wynona lived in Logan, Iowa until the age of eight, moving to Ottawa in 1944, and to Princeton in the mid-50's.

She graduated from Rantoul High School in Rantoul, Kansas with the class of 1955.

Wynona worked as a restorative aide five years at Richmond Care Center in Richmond, Kansas, and previously worked five years in the service department at Sears, and five years at Ransom Memorial Hospital in the office and as an aide.

Wynona was a member of Princeton Christian Church in Princeton, Kansas.

In 1956, Wynona was united in marriage with Wayland D. Kirkland in Ottawa, Kansas. He preceded her in death December 7, 1988. On February 21, 1989, Wynona married Claude Delbert VanSickle in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2006.

She is survived by her: Daughter-Laura Dea Hermreck and her husband, Terry, of Richmond, Kansas; Daughter-Laurinda Lea Pearson and her husband, Randy, of Richmond, Kansas; Daughter-Wanda Yvonne Smith and her husband, Mark, of Ottawa, Kansas; Son-Wayland D. Kirkland, Jr. of Ottawa, Kansas; Son-Chris Thomas VanSickle of Ottawa, Kansas; Sister-Beverly Lou Hughes of Ottawa, Kansas; Sister-Dellaverne Harris of Belton, Missouri Grandchildren-(12) Jeremy Moore, Carmen Torbus, Casie Rohde, Coby Joe Pearson, Tyler Smith, Sarah Johnson, Karah Steinke, Alex Kirkland, Tanner VanSickle, Wyatt VanSickle, D. J. Hermreck, Lauren Hermreck and Nine -Gt.Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her: Husband-Wayland D. Kirkland; Husband-Claude Delbert VanSickle and Parents-Merle W. and Kathryn V. Heckman.

SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011.

IN STATE: Mrs. VanSickle will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday until the service hour, where the family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 Monday evening.

CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery in Ottawa, Kansas.
