ROBINSON, Sandra "Sonnie" Kay (Cochrane) - Of Swartz Creek, age 73, died Monday, October 24, 2011 at Brian's House of Davison. Funeral service Rev. Dr. Daniel A. Wonderly officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pilgrim Lutheran Church or Pilgrim Lutheran Preschool. Visitation 12-8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Sonnie will be at the church 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service.
Sonnie was born in Flint on March 3, 1938, the daughter of the late Waldo and Helen Cochrane and was a resident of Swartz Creek for many years.
Sonnie married Richard Robinson on April 6, 1957 in Flint.
She graduated from Beecher High School. Sonnie was a devoted member, secretary and organist at Pilgrim Lutheran Church for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, camping and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark, in-laws, Carl and Edna Robinson, sisters, Sharon Cochrane and Pam Novess.
