Michael S. age 57, of Miamisburg, went home to be with Lord Friday, April 8, 2011.

He was born May 23, 1953, in Dayton, to the late Kenneth & Margaret Abner.

Michael was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Jennifer Kuhns.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Marjorie Abner; 10 step-children; 35 step-grandchildren; 29 step-great-grandchildren; 5 nieces; 5 nephews; sisters, Deborah (Chris) Sturm, Barbara (Scott) Etherington, Carolyn (Fred) Garman; brothers, Timothy Bryan Abner, Patrick Scott (Cathy) Abner; foster parents, John L. (Barbara) Haws; 2 foster sisters; 1 foster brother; and many other relatives and friends.

Michael was a Neighborhood Assistance Officer for the Dayton Police Department for 17 years and an active member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Miamisburg for many years.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 13, 2011, from 10-11 am at St. Johns Lutheran Church (470 S. Gebhart Church Rd, Miamisburg, OH 45342).

The service will follow at 11 am.

Burial will be at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens.
