Thomas George Hill

Thomas George Hill passed away in the Community hospital in Beloit on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, where he was taken on Sunday suffering from a heart ailment with which he had been afflicted the past nine months.

He was born at Waverly, Iowa, on August 6, 1870, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hill, and had reached the age of 73 years, 4 months and 22 days at the time of his death at Beloit, Kansas on December 28, 1943.

He came with his parents to Kansas in 1873 and they settled at Victor, where he made his home for several years. On November 15, 1894, at Washington, Kansas, he was married to Rosa Morford, who survives him. Six children were born to this union, three of whom are left with their mother to mourn the loss of a dutiful husband and a kind father. They are: Mrs. Harold Deshler, Beloit; Clyde Hill, Topeka and Charles Victor Hill, Wichita. There are seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The Hills made their home at Wayne, Kansas, previous to going to Topeka 43 years ago and that had been their home for the past 43 years.
Last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Hill came to Beloit to spend the winter at the home of his daughter, that of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Deshler, when he was stricken with what proved to be a fatal illness.

The sympathy of the community is extended to the relatives in their hour of bereavement.
Funeral services will be held in Topeka and burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery there.
