Funeral services held at Kinder-Dennis Home for funerals.

Archie was born the son of T. Willard & Charlotte (Manke) Lortis. He graduated from Waseca High School, and later attended the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis. On April 12, 1934 he married Dorothy Clarke at the St. Paul Lutheran Church parsonage in Waseca. In the 1930's, he played banjo in a dance band known as "The Purple Aces". He operated a filling station and bulk oil plant from 1934 until 1960. He also raised fancy mink for many years. As a lifelong resident of Waseca, Archie enjoyed serving the public. After his retirement in 1960, he continued to work part-time at Kritzer Oil Co. in Waseca until 1994. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, as well as fishing, hunting, gardening, visiting, and singing with the "Waseca Barbershoppers." Archie was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca.

Archie & Dorothy were the parents of Diane (Bart) Bluhm, and Archie "Buzz" ( Bernadine) Lortis.
