Barbara Elaine Wallace, 55, of Woodway, passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2011. A memorial service celebrating her extraordinary life will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 800 N. New Road. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, at OakCrest Funeral Home, Waco.
Barbara was born in Los Angeles County, Calif. A courageous 32-year cancer survivor, she was foremost a devoted wife and mother who also worked over 20 years as an R.N.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 23 years, Dr. Robin Wallace; daughter, Jennifer; son, Jeremy; mother, Mary Hutter; three siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
