John Sylvester Mullin was the 7th of 8 children. He was born in Macomb NY and spent most of his life in the Macomb/Gouverneur/Hailesboro NY area. He attended Gouverneur High school, graduating in 1949. He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955, working as a radio operator on B-29s.

Following his honorable discharge, he worked for the New York Telephone company for over 30 years before retiring and starting "Mullin's Telephone Service" in Gouverneur. He was a very intelligent and caring individual who was always willing to help anyone who needed a hand.

He was my uncle, and I will miss him very very much.

He is survived by his three daughters in South Carolina, two sisters, a grandson and his wife in St. Louis, three grandchildren in South Carolina, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Raymond and Carl Mullin, and three sisters, Dorothy and Marjorie Mullin, and Marie Beagle.

Be at peace Uncle John.
