Phoebe, wife of Moses Baker, died last night at the residence on their farm in Kochville, of pneumonia. She was aged 56 years and was one of the old pioneer residents of the county, having lived here for 35 years. Mr. and Mrs. Baker came to Saginaw county from Orange county, New York, in 1857 and settled on the farm on which Mrs. Baker died. The deceased leaves a husband and five children, William, Frank, Charles and Lucerne Baker and Mrs, Jennie Davis.
A very extensive acquaintance was gained by her during her long residence in one vicinity and her death is regarded as a calamity in the community which has been her home. The funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from the residence. Burial at Oakwood cemetery.
