I am still researching William M and Ellenora/Eleanora Bell Noland; they were my great great grandparents.

William Noland was a son of John (Jno) Noland and his wife Rhoda A Howard. He first appears on the 1850 census of Morgan County Ohio.

He married Ellenora Bell (daughter of William H and Emeline Phillips Bell) in Washington County, Ohio on December 12, 1867.

They were the parents of at least 9 children:
-Austin Noland (Aug 8, 1866-Aug 17, 1944)
-Oscar Noland (Aug 8, 1866- Sept 4, 1934)
-Emory A Noland (April 25, 1867-Feb 27, 1942)
-Annie J Noland (April 28, 1870-_________)
-DORA NOLAND (my great grandmother) (May 20, 1872-March 13, 1964)
-Asa VanBuren Noland (Oct 13, 1873 - Aug 24, 1957)
-Edmond Noland (abt 1875-_________)
-Rodney Noland (Nov 8, 1877 - _________)
-William Hale Noland (May 6, 1880 - July 23, 1949)

Ellenora died June 26, 1896, in Calcutta, Pleasants County WV.

William died November 13, 1922 at St Mary's West Virginia. His cause of death is listed as "Angina Pectoris" and Arteriosclerosis. The death certificate is blank in box 19 / place of burial. Olin Ogdin of St Mary's is listed as the undertaker.

I called down & spoke with Kathy at Kimes funeral home in Pleasants County. Kimes bought out Olin Ogdin when he retired in 1987. She pulled William's funeral home records, and states that the writing is very worn & hard to read, but as best as she can tell the cemetery he was buried in was "Ruckueau or Ruchueau" (Closest in name is Ruckman Cemetery, and I can well see that 90 years later an M could be read as a ue and an N could be read as a u.) His funeral was 1130 AM on Nov 16, 1922 at the Baptist Church, with Rev Young officiating. I also spoke with a lady at the First Baptist Church in St Mary's. They did have a Rev Young there decades ago, and she is going to have the clerk see if she can find anything on William or any other Nolands in that 1895-1925 era for me.

Any additions or corrections to the above information would be appreciated, thanks. I am also trying to determine where Ellenora is buried.
