Margaret Carter Andrews, 90, of Rutland and formerly of Pittsfield, died Feb. 14, 2012, at Rutland Regional Medical Center, following a long illness.

She was born Sept. 3, 1921, in Rochester, the daughter of Charles O. and Stella May (Powers) Carter.

She married Bertram Guerden "Mugs" Andrews Nov. 14, 1942.

Mrs. Andrews was employed at glove factories in Rutland and Randolph and for several years by Toziers Restaurant.

In Pittsfield, she served as a school director and was a member of the Civic Club and St. Dennis Catholic Church.

She was predeceased by her husband in 2001 and by a brother, Elmer Carter.

Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Aldous Funeral Home, 44 North Main St. in Rutland.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Christ the King Church in Rutland.

Burial will be at a later date in Pittsfield Cemetery.
