Dorothy Francis Watts Litaker, 84, of Concord, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center-NE.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Tony Allen, will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Center United Methodist Church, 1119 Union Street South, Concord, NC. There will be a 30 minute state.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
At other times the family will meet at the home of her daughter, Debbie; 4280 Hwy 601 S, Concord, NC.
Dorothy was born on June 9, 1927, to the late Emmanuel Watts and the late Annie Norris Watts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Leonard Litaker; a brother, Ernest Watts; and her step mother, Gertrude Watts.
She is survived by daughters, Pamela Cochran and husband, Gene and Debbie Ballard and husband, Mike; Grandchildren, Matthew Cochran and wife Katarina and Leighann Pulliam and husband, Seth; Great-grandchildren, Mattison and Keltie Cochran and Carl and James Pulliam; and a brother, Otis Watts and wife, Betty all of Concord.
