Clara E. Everitt

A funeral service for Clara E. Everitt of Parker, who died Sept. 24 in Parker, was Saturday in Littleton. She was 76.

Born Dec. 12, 1925, in Littleton, she was the daughter of William Thomas and Lucy Edna (Larison) Rose.

Mrs. Everitt grew up in the Littleton and Parker communities.

She graduated from Parker High School in 1944. After attending a year of college in Fort Collins, she returned home after her father had a stroke.

She worked the dairy farm until Feb. 14, 1953, when she married Leroy "Bob" Everitt. The couple settled east of Parker on his ranch and she worked by his side.

She joined a grange in 1939 and was a member of the Grandview Grange and State Grange. Though not active for several years, she was a lifetime member.

Mrs. Everitt was preceded in death by brothers Lloyd Rose and Lester Rose; a sister, Lois Wilcoxon; and an infant son.

She is survived by her husband of Parker; daughters Karen and Eileen of Parker and Elaine Garbriel and her husband, Bill, of Elbert; grandson James Robert Gabriel; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends.
