Rancher and Farmer. Carlos Everitt was born on his parents' (Charles Monroe and Mary Walsh Everitt) ranch in Elbert County seven miles east of Parker, Colorado; attended Elbert County public schools. He married Esther Nelson on November 20, 1922; they ranched and farmed in Elbert and Douglas counties in Colorado. He was past president of Cherry Creek Soil Conservation District and Douglas County Livestock Association; also was member of National Cattlemen's Association, Colorado Cattlemen's Association, The Cherry Creek Grange, Elbert and Douglas County School Boards for 29 years and the first president of the Farmer's Union Local Number 517 in Parker, Colorado.

At the time of his death he was survived by his sons, Leroy ("Bob") of Parker, Bill in Grover, and Dick in Elko, Nevada, and his daughter Evelyn Race of Elizabeth and Carol White of Kiowa. One brother, Brian of Montrose, also survived him.
