Colorado Pioneer 1859. Very early settler of Parker, Colorado who came to Colorado in 1859. Gold miner in Russell Gulch (now Russelville south of Franktown, Colorado); ran a sawmill near Running Creek; ranched two miles east of Parker; moved to Castle Rock 1878 where he operated a dry goods store and was Douglas County clerk and recorder; after 1882 moved to Kansas for many years returning to Colorado Springs. Served in Colorado Volunteer Cavalry for 100 days. Married to Elizabeth Jane Pennock on December 1, 1865 in Russell Gulch.
