Margaret Klein was a grand and charming lady. She spent part of the WWII era with Mechtilde Dickmann Wienhues in Germany and they became lifelong friends. Margaret lost two children to strafing by American fighter aircraft during the war. Also lost her first husband. Appeared in Ankara, Turkey, during the 1960s where she had connections to Turkish high society and was involved in a flying club there. Apparently that is how she met her longtime companion and future second husband, Charles ("Sandy") Sanderson.

In March of 1967 Mechtilde's daughter, M. Susanne E. Wienhues, came to visit her after an "au pair" position in Istanbul did not pan out. The two of them were visiting the Huber family at the German embassy in Ankara one afternoon and Susanne's future husband, Fred Beisser, stopped by to visit with the Hubers. The rest is history.

When Margaret's life companion, Sandy, retired, she joined him in Florida and they eventually married a few years later. The mutual shared love of this couple was obvious, even at 100 yards distance.

Margaret had a devastating stroke about 1997 that left her completely helpless and forced her into a nursing home.
