MARTHA PANOWICZ
Martha (Mrs. Frank) Panowicz, 88, of 616 Miller, died Tuesday (Oct 21) at Pierce Nursing Home.
She was born Martha Heyka May 18, 1892 in Alpena and had been a life long resident of the area. Her husband, Frank Panowicz, preceded her in death in 1965.
Mrs Panowicz was a member of St. Mary Church and League of Catholic Women.
Surviving are two daughters, Blanche Wieschowski of Alpena and Florence Waltros of Ellsworth, a son John Kaszubowski of Bear Lake; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister Viola Mantz of Alpena. Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
Mrs. Panowicz's body is at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today and where there will be a parish prayer service Thursday at 7:20 p.m.
Funeral for Mrs. Panowicz is Friday at St. Mary Church at 10 a.m., the Rev John Ladd officiating.
Internment: Holy Cross Cemetery.
