Louis G. Boehning, 81, of 927 W. Blodgett St., died of age complications at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the Wood County Hospital where he had been a resident for the past six weeks.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. G. M. Krueger will officiate and burial will be made in Hillside cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hansen Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Tuesday when the body will be taken to the church.
Mr. Boehning was born Sept. 25. 1881, in Dodge County. At the age of two, he moved with his parents to Auburndale and later came to Marshfield. He was employed by the Roddis Lumber and Veneer Co., now Weyerhaeuser Company, and also had worked for. the Soo Line Railroad, retiring several years ago.
He was married to Anna Duchow, who died Oct. 23, 1932. His second marriage took place on May 10, 1939, to Elva Morrison. Mr. Boehning was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Leona) Eckes, Sheboygan; three stepchildren, Gordon Morrison, Mrs. Leonard (Virginia) Biechler and Mrs. Ervin (Olive) Steffen, all of Marshfield; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and a brother, Richard Boehning, Wausau.
A son, Arnold, a sister and four brothers preceded him in death.
