Born Dec. 1, 1933, in Butler, he was the son of John Sr. and Aurela Woligura Bandura.
He was a retired hairdresser.
He graduated from the Mason Felix Beauty Academy in New Kensington and had owned the Bandura Beauty Center, which was on South Washington Street for 25 years.
He later was associated with Susan's Hairtique in Butler for 10 years.
Following that, he worked for the Air-Ride Service and Northtowne Motors.
He was a past president of the Pennsylvania Hairdressers Association after he served as president for six years.
He was a former member of the Butler Lodge of the Loyal Order of Moose.
He also enjoyed golf and bowling and was an avid hunter.
He was a veteran of the Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, who he married Aug. 24, 1957; two sons, a daughter, four grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a grandson and two sisters.
Friends of John Bandura Jr., who died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Private burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
