He was born June 12, 1957 in Anderson, and resided in Anderson all of his life.
John graduated from Highland High School.
He worked for United Parcel Service for 34 years and was known to many as "My UPS Man".
John was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church and the International Union Teamsters. He had 34 years of safe driving with UPS.
John is survived by his parents, Donald Eugene and Patty Ann (Dunwiddie) Bemish; wife of 15 years, Lori (Whited) Bemish; daughter, Brandy Bemish of Ohio; son, Donnie Bemish of Anderson; sisters, Terri Nolan (Dan) of Anderson; Jeanie Chapple of Middletown; son-in-law, Kevin Sheets of Anderson; mother-in-law, Barbara Boys of Anderson; father-in-law, Robert Whited of Anderson; brothers-in-law, Bobby Whited and Danny Whited both of Anderson; grandchildren, Maicie Barnett, Elise Bemish, Dayne Patton and Reece Sheets; nieces and nephews, Matt Bemish (Cheryl), Amber Fithian (James), and Jimi Halseel (Kim); great nieces and great nephews, Jordyn and Jocelyn Thomas, Olivia Fithian and Rhett Shields Halsell.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Rhonda Sue Halsell and daughter, Jessica N. Sheets.
Services will be Saturday, at 10:00 AM, at the funeral home, with Pastor John Hackney officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
