Irving Lee 'Ervie' Beemer was the son of Melvin & Addie (Rowland)(1862-1949)Beemer. One sibling: Melvina 'Vina'(1889-1973)Beemer. In July 1908 the Tawas Herald reports: "The young man was one of the crew of the north bound freight, which was on the siding and he was waiting to turn the switch after the north bound passenger had passed. Whether he sat down on the rail while waiting for the train or not will never be known;" Ervie was run over by the train and died at the age of 21.
Ervie's mother Addie Rowland Beemer, married second Alonzo Martindale in 1892. Alonzo (1862-1900) died before Ervie.
